Holistic health is an approach to life that considers multidimensional aspects of wellness. It encourages individuals to recognize the whole person: physical, mental, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual. The individual is an active participant in their health decisions and healing processes, including wellness-oriented lifestyle choices. Holistic approaches to health are derived from ancient healing traditions that help to achieve higher levels of wellness and prevent disease.

Our approach at Naturally Holistic Wellness is to educate and guide you on a balanced way of eating and not to adhere to restrictive diets. We believe that restrictive diets are restricting essential nutrients and that balance is key. If you are experiencing symptoms on the diet you are currently eating, it means it needs to change because we cannot heal in the same environment we got sick in. If you aren’t open to shifting your diet to a more balanced ancestral approach we will not be aligned with working together.

Functional Testing

With all of our services we require an HTMA test. We also include other tests depending on the service. For example, GI map is included in our 4 & 6 Month gut restoration program and Dutch Hormone test is included in our 6 month Happy Hormones program.

We can discuss other tests if you desire but find as we start with our foundational roadmap to wellness that other testing won’t be needed until after 3+ months.

The Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) Test, takes a look into your cellular/tissue levels of minerals. Blood mineral testing isn't as accurate as most practitioners  would hope. Our blood must maintain a set level of minerals to ensure the body is safe. Which is why 90% of our minerals are stored inside our tissues. HTMA is the leading test on the market to get a 3 month picture of what your mineral status looks like. Learn more about HTMA here

We utilize HTMA testing through Trace Element Labs (TEI). We work with this lab because of the way they handle the hair sample. They do not wash the hair sample before testing resulting in the most accurate results.

You can learn more about TEI labs and their testing methods HERE

The Full Monty Blood Panel is looking at the Iron, Ferritin, Mag Red Blood Cell, Copper, Ceruloplasmin, and Zinc levels in your blood. As mentioned in the HTMA FAQ, 90% of our minerals are in our tissues and are not in our blood. But the Full Monty is the snapshot of those minerals and vitamins levels that aren't stored in our tissues. Pairing HTMA and Full Monty we can get a full picture of your mineral status inside your body.

We run the Dutch Plus test for those who are in our 6 month Happy Hormones Program.

The DUTCH Plus with Insomnia Add-On takes hormone testing to a whole new level. In addition to sex hormones and their metabolites, the DUTCH Complete™ looks at the overall diurnal pattern of free cortisol, and the total and distribution of cortisol metabolites. The DUTCH Plus® adds the Cortisol Awakening Response (CAR) to bring another important piece of the HPA-axis into focus.

When we open our eyes upon waking, cortisol levels naturally begin to rise by an average of 50%. 30 minutes after waking, cortisol levels will still show this sharp increase. By 60 minutes after waking, cortisol levels have peaked and begin to decline. Measuring this rise and fall of cortisol levels at waking can be used as a “mini stress test”. Research shows that the size of this increase correlates with HPA-axis function, even if the sample measurements are all within range. A quick saturation of saliva swabs upon waking, and at 30 and 60 minutes after waking, provide what is required to assess a patient’s Cortisol Awakening Response.

We run the GI MAP Stool Test + Zonulin for those in our 4 & 6 month Gut Restoration Program.

The Gastrointestinal Microbial Assay Plus (GI-MAP) is an innovative clinical tool that measures gastrointestinal microbiota DNA from a single stool sample with state of the art, quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) technology.

The GI-MAP was designed to detect microbes that may be disturbing normal microbial balance or contributing to illness as well as indicators of digestion, absorption, inflammation, and immune function.

This test also includes an add-on for the leaky gut marker zonulin.

If you have gotten your HTMA or Fully Monty completed within the last 1-2 months we can use them in your session. But we will suggest getting retested at the 3 month mark.

RCP Consulting

The Root Cause Protocol (RCP) was developed by Morley Robbins. The RCP is the culmination of his many years of research and is revolutionary in its approach to health from a truly holistic perspective, by looking at the whole organism and how all the elements work together, rather than limiting the focus to isolated nutrients or conditions.

The RCP works by restoring balance to the key minerals – magnesium, copper and iron – that must work together in order to optimize energy and increase vitality.

Yes we do. Jacquelynn is a certified RCP consultant (RCPC) and has helped many people get clarity and further support when following the RCP.

Jacquelynn works as an RCPC along with her other qualifications and backgrounds within all of her offerings to offer you a unique and holistic appraoch.

Yes, everything Jacquelynn recommends to her clients falls in alignment with the RCP. However, depending on your unique health history, current health concerns, and test results Jacquelynn will offer further supplementation and dietary recommendations that are unique to you and your body. But all reccomendationations fall within her 'food first' approach and are RCP friendly.
