About Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA)
Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) is a non-invasive, easy to do, affordable method to look at an accurate report of your tissue levels of 36 key minerals and heavy metals impacting your health.
HTMA provides a mineral blueprint of one’s biochemistry. It will provide pertinent information about one’s metabolic rate, energy levels, sugar and carbohydrate tolerance, stage of stress, immune system and thyroid & adrenal glandular activity.
What does HTMA Test For?
Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) Test can give us insight into how your body is functioning. Minerals are the 'spark plugs' to life. Meaning, minerals are what are essential for the body to run properly and be healthy. At the root of every disease we can see a mineral imbalance or deficiency present. The HTMA allows us to be proactive in correcting such imbalances before disease appears. It also allows us to address the root cause from a biochemical perspective.

How to complete an HTMA
The HTMA is a hair test. The hair reflects the tissue level or available minerals. Hair is a a form of soft tissue and provides a great window into what is happening inside the body at the tissue level.
The Majority of minerals are inside our tissues. If we want to know the stored tissue level, blood tests and urine tests are not the answer. Our blood minerals levels are tightly regulated. We can have 'normal' blood mineral levels but the blood test won't give us an accurate depiction of our mineral stores.
In order to complete the test, an inch or so of hair taken closest to the scalp provides approximately a three-month window into the mineral and metal status of the body. Hair is not prone to the hour to hour fluctuations that affect the blood reading.
Ordering an HTMA
There are only two labs in the USA that we recommend using. Trace Elements Labs and Analytical Research Labs. We recommend these two labs because they do not alter the sample before testing. Some labs will wash the hair sample before testing which can result in inaccurate results.
If you are interested in getting an HTMA done for yourself please sign up for any of our services or programs. We will send you the test to collect your sample, send it off to the lab and then have your 60 minute call with Jacquelynn to review your results.
